Initial Training Presentation
The initial STEP UP! training educates students on the concepts and theories of bystander intervention including strategies for effective helping. This training is then the foundation for the topic-specific presentations that go more in-depth into a particular subject and are meant to be delivered after students have completed the initial training.
If you have never used the training you may want to stick with the original version as it has more comprehensive speaker notes (also in the Facilitator Guide). If you are already using STEP UP! and are familiar with the material, the updated version is for you! Simply download either training to your computer and make sure to EXTRACT the zip file. You will see the "Extract all files" over to the left when you open the folder. (The updated version is ~150MB because of the embedded videos).
*Note: The embedded videos are to be used ONLY in conjuction with STEP UP! Training
Tip: A great way to end the training is with the STEP UP! Video (available under About).
Topic Presentations
We have created approximately hour long presentations that go more in depth with each of the STEP UP! topics. The goals of these presentations are to educate more extensively on the topic and on how to intervene. Presentations are available by request by contacting info@stepupprogram.org.
Additional Scenarios
Additional scenarios by topic are available in the Resource Library. If you would like to submit a scenario to be considered for inclusion in STEP UP! you can submit it to us at info@stepupprogram.org.
Train the Trainer Webinar
This one hour training will make you more familiar with the STEP UP! program and give you tips and instructions on facilitating the training. Please refer to the Facilitator Guide on this website for more information as well as step by step instructions!
